I grew up in a universe of women. Women who carried, who reached out, who held things together, who held on. Women who often placed the weight of the world on their shoulders without anyone noticing the burden. This series is my tribute to them. The figures are heavy in form because the women I have known have carried heavy loads. Their bodies stand as a testament and a symbol
