The fabric used for the exterior of this one of a kind day to evening clutch was taken from a very unique piece - the dress it was salvaged from was an original 1940s dress made of a cut out cotton

I had it professionally cleaned (of course) and it did lighten so may continue to get better with more cleanings

This is an "xcut par Maria Carine sur autorization spciale" (made by Maria Carine with special authorization). This is a special garment and needs a bit more explanation it is best explained by this excerpt from the Vintage Fashion Guild: Maria Carine was owned by Maria Moutet Chenu. She worked with four couturiers: Heim, Desses,
